Lowering the inflammatory load through lifestyle changes can greatly help a patient’s overall health. Aside from the general benefits of changes in diet and exercise, the effect they can have on inflammation, particularly systemic inflammation can be marked. Systemic inflammation often begins in the gut as the result of the loosening of the tight junctions between the cells that line the intestines. This loosening (sometimes referred to as “leaky gut”) can allow bacteria, food particles, and other extraneous material to entire the bloodstream and promulgate inflammation elsewhere in the body. What causes such gut inflammation is the first place? Join Dr. Cheryl Burdette, ND as she discusses the role of IgG in food sensitivities and inflammation, and how testing can be a first step in changing lifestyle to combat inflammation.
