General Precision Point Diagnostics July 16, 2024

Out-of-network insurance and Medicare are now accepted for our most popular tests (Medicare Advantage and those who test through distributors are excluded)

We are pleased to announce that Precision Point Diagnostics will begin accepting both Medicare (we do not accept Medicare Advantage) and Out-of-network insurance billing as a form of payment for our most popular tests and bundles effective July 8, 2024.  We will continue to offer cash and pre-pay options as well.  The insurance option is excluded for those who have accounts through any distributors.

PPD works with many types of clients. Some of you may choose to continue operating as you always have, with either prepaid tests for a discount or through cash price billing. If you are an approved Medicare provider, you probably have Medicare patients who will greatly benefit from our ability to bill Medicare.  We do not accept Medicare Advantage plans.

Private insurance billing requires the patients to have out-of-network laboratory benefits and they have met their out-of-network deductible.

Some clinics may want to onboard with insurance only, or with a mix of insurance and clinic billing. We hope offering Medicare and Out of Network Insurance billing provides convenience and flexibility for your practice and patients.

Here are the tests/bundles where insurance will be accepted:

P88 DAT

DIY P88 DAT

Advanced Intestinal Barrier Assessment (AIBA)

Advanced Oxidative Stress Test

Advanced Adrenal Stress Test

Precision Gut Bundle (P88 DAT and AIBA)

Precision Core 4 Bundle (P88 DAT, AIBA, Advanced Oxidative Stress, and Advanced Adrenal)

How it works:

1) The practitioner will choose insurance or cash pay on the requisition. If cash pay is chosen, then all procedures remain the same as what you are used to.

2) If insurance is chosen, then the price of the test remains the same and a processing fee is charged to the patient at the time the sample is received in order to cover shipping and handling. This processing fee is applied to the total cost of the test.

3) Insurance is billed on behalf of the patient.

4) If insurance plus the processing fee pays for the cost of the test, then billing is complete.

5) If insurance does not cover the cost of the test, then the patient is charged for the remainder of the test cost after the processing fee is applied.

6) The processing fee is necessary to cover our costs, and is never refundable.

7) Service fees vary for each of the tests for which we accept insurance. Please check your price sheet or contact customer service at (678) 736-6374 for more information, or at info@precisionpointdiagnostics.com
